The Linn County Early Childhood Iowa Board invites community members and elected officials to be an active partner in early childhood system building by serving as a Board member. The primary role of the local Board is to award state funds to early childhood care and education programs that serve young children, prenatal thru 5 years, and their families in Linn County. Other duties include assessing community needs and communicating with legislators and community on the importance of quality early childhood.
The Board meets the 4th Tuesday of the month from 3:30-4:30 pm and membership terms are for 3 years. Applications for Board Membership are accepted through November 12, 2017.
